Are you interested in knowing which CEO is the most admired by peers?
Last year it was Apple and Tim Cook in the spotlight, but not anymore. Fortune did a survey where they asked 500 CEO’s which CEO other than themselves they most admired. The winner was quite clear, as he was mentioned by almost a quarter of the respondents, and no other CEO got even a third as many mentions.
Being a boss isn’t always easy. And yes, you are not supposed to be liked by everybody; this is not the goal. The goal is always to make the best decisions for the company. However, if you are disliked by your employees, this might offer some serious challenges both for yourself and the company. Your team might not be productive, they might complain about you to others – including HR, which might not be good for your job security and they might just up and quit on you.
If you are the boss everyone hates, then rest assured, you’ll be the last person to know it. However, there are some signs that might reveal this. And if you are able to recognize them, you might be able to make changes to your attitude, behavior and how you come across to your team – before its too late.
